Slife is going back to school. Next fall we are starting a really cool trial with 180 high school students in South Dakota, as part of a program to help them become more aware of how much time they spend online.
We were approached by a high school teacher about using Slife in education a few weeks ago and were really excited about the possibility of using our tools in the context of learning and education. It’s much more common for companies interested in micromanaging employees to approach us, so it’s very refreshing to be involved in a project like this.
If you would like to explore Slife in education, we would be more than happy to help. Get in touch with you and we’ll come up with a plan that works for your school, classroom and timeframe. I will end with a quote from Samantha, the teacher behind this initiative:
“We are too often boarding up doors and locking kids out of sites, how about we let them go wherever they want? But, let them know that we will review your usage at the end of every week. It could be a great way to teach independent responsibility.”
That makes sense, doesn’t it? Companies should follow this advice.
